What DZMates is — and isn’t

DZMates is a coordination and community platform that helps skydivers find each other and plan jumps. DZMates is not a dropzone, an instructor, a coach, a governing body, a federation, a manifest system, a safety authority or a certification service.

You stay responsible

• Follow the rules of the dropzone you’re at, your national federation’s requirements and applicable law.
• Listen to the instructors, coaches, safety officers and manifest at the dropzone. They decide what happens on the load, not DZMates.
• Only take part in jumps that match your actual currency, licence and skill level.

Self-reported information

Licence, jump numbers, roles and qualifications shown in the app are self-reported by users and are not verified by DZMates, unless a future feature explicitly says a badge has been verified. Nothing in DZMates — including recommended jump numbers or experience labels — is a determination that a jump, a person or an activity is safe or appropriate for you.

Acceptable use

• No harassment, threats, hate speech or bullying.
• No impersonation of other people, instructors, dropzones or organisations.
• No spam, scraping or commercial solicitation without our permission.
• No unlawful, infringing or otherwise harmful content.
• No attempts to break, probe or circumvent the security of the service.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you post. You give DZMates permission to store and show it inside the app so the features work — for example showing your message to the other members of a jump group. You’re responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it.

Availability

DZMates is provided as-is during beta. Features may change, break or be removed, and the service may be interrupted. We can’t guarantee that data entered during beta is preserved indefinitely.

Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the service, break these terms or put other users at risk. You can delete your own account at any time from Settings → Danger zone.

Liability

Skydiving is inherently risky and you take part at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, DZMates is not liable for the actions of other users, for decisions you make based on information in the app, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law, or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Legal

DZMates is operated from Sweden and Swedish law applies where mandatory local consumer rules don’t say otherwise. Full operator details will be published before general release. Questions during beta go through the “Beta feedback / report a problem” form on your Profile screen.
