DZMates is a coordination app for skydivers. This policy explains what we store, why, and what you can do about it. DZMates is currently in closed beta, so this policy may be updated as the product develops.
Where EU/Swedish data protection law applies, we generally rely on performance of our service to you (providing the app and its features), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention and product improvement), and your consent where you voluntarily add optional profile information such as an avatar or qualifications. You can withdraw that by editing or removing the information.
DZMates runs on Lovable Cloud, which provides our authentication, database and file storage infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf in order to operate the app. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.
Your profile, planned dropzone days, jumps and messages are visible to other signed-in DZMates users in the relevant parts of the app. Chat messages are visible to the members of that jump group. Please don’t post anything you wouldn’t want the crew to read.
Licence, jump numbers, roles and qualifications are entered by users themselves. DZMates does not verify them and they should not be treated as proof of competence or certification.
We keep your account and profile data while your account exists. When you delete your account we remove your profile, avatar, plans, invitations, notifications and the jumps you organized. Messages you wrote in other people’s jump groups may remain so the conversation stays readable, but they are no longer linked to you and are shown as “Deleted user”. Backups and provider logs may retain traces for a limited period before they expire.
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port or object to and restrict our processing of your personal data. Most of this is available directly in the app: edit your profile at any time, and delete your account from Settings → Danger zone.
During closed beta, the best way to reach us is the “Beta feedback / report a problem” form on your Profile screen. We’ll publish a dedicated privacy contact address before general release.
